Essential Skills:
1. Knowledge in using design software’s such as: Photoshop, Corel Draw
etc
2. Ability to undertake a variety of design tasks, based on design
specifications provided
3. At least 2 years education or training in Graphic design or a
similar discipline and the ability to provide class samples or a portfolio
showing your skills and past work
Desirable Skills:
The ability to manage your own time and ideas working to briefs and
feedback from team members and Directors
What is the Main Aim of the
work?
To assist the IT team, project officers and managers with design
templates for updating existing project websites and project mobile apps. Also
assisting with design templates for developing project logo's and software
icons for new projects and tools.
To assist the IT team, marketing officers and managers with design
templates for marketing materials, project packaging and branding for new
products to be launched.
The intern must be able to produce their designs using high quality
computer software’s such as Corel Draw, Photoshop or similar software tools,
and be able to assist the IT Team with implementing their design templates
What are the main duties and
responsibilities?
-designing logos (for the company, projects and products)
-developing icons (for our software applications)
-design and produce literature and packaging for our products and
projects
-produce some designs for our new websites, and update designs on our
existing websites
-produce some designs for our Internet mobile phone application
-produce some designs, images, mock-ups for our software tools and
online applications
-draw illustrations to show and demonstrate design concepts
-Participate in meetings with marketing, IT, and project officers to
brainstorm design ideas
-other duties as assigned
Working Hours: Full time - 9.00 am – 5.30 pm weekdays.
Salary: Travel and a Daily
Subsistence Rate provided to cover expenses - daily rate will easily meet the
NMW
Location: We are located at Coventry
University Technology
Park in walking distance
of Coventry Train Station and Pool Meadow Bus Station
