Volunteer on Britains historical buildings

CSV Heritage Camp Volunteers vacancies

CSV Heritage Camps involve young people aged 16-25, from all round Europe and the UK, helping to preserve Britain’s beautiful historic buildings. Each camp runs for a week and there are camps throughout July and August at cathedrals, churches and other buildings of historical interest across the country.

No previous experience is required. Volunteers mix with other young people from across the country and Europe, and have the opportunity to take part in an exciting week of development and team work.

Types of activities volunteers could get involved in might include restoring monuments and statues, re-laying stone pathways, maintaining ornamental woodwork and brass features, clearing crypts and cellars, painting, gardening or restoring graveyards. Without the time and energy of volunteers, many of these jobs would not get done putting spectacular buildings at risk.
