Derby QUAD's  ID film festival starts tomorrow - May 9th - 12th 2013.

This year’s festival is packed with guest appearances, professional development events, previews, retrospective celebrations and a themed film strand. We are delighted to host live appearances from Terry Jones (Monty Python, Wind In The Willows), Dame Janet Suzman (Nicolas And Alexandria, The Draughtsman’s Contract), Martin Stephens (The Innocents, Village Of The Damned), Jack O’Connell (Skins, Tower Block) and a panel of some of Britain's leading independent feature film directors Paul Andrew Williams, Jake West, Johannes Roberts and Dominic Burns.Of course it wouldn’t be a film festival without the films and we have an interesting mix of previews, official selections, short films and retrospective titles too. The theme of this year’s festival is Family and we have taken a loose look at the way Family is represented in cinema with a specially curated selection of films. Come along and be inspired.
