VACANCY – ASSISTANT BABY AND CHILDRENSWEAR DESIGNER

Baby and Childrenswear Designer – The Role

• Use Inspirational travel and research to drive the most creative and innovative product development for your specific Retailer accounts

• Collaboratively work with, and brief artwork requirements to, the In house and Freelance Graphics team & manage deadlines according to critical path to drive on trend and directional handwriting and executional techniques

• In conjunction with your line manager, manage individual Critical Paths for each customer and range and ensure that these are updated weekly

• Ensure that your ranges deliver the appropriate handwriting through creative design, attention to detail and understanding of retail price

• Work closely with our China R&D and Hong Kong office.



Assistant Childrenswear Designer – The Candidate

• A Team Player

• Must be able to deliver trend forecasting and seasonal direction with enthusiasm and passion

• Strong presentation skills

• An understanding of garment construction, fabrication and embellishment

• Have excellent illustrative skills, as well as being fashion aware, and able to translate broader fashion trends into babywear.

• A good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is essential.

• Exuding personal charisma, strategic thinking and a passion for design
