Event planning /social media PR Intern role at Derbyshire Vintage Event Company.


A Derbyshire based events company needs you! We are nearly four years old, have a strong brand identity & are firmly established & loved in the wedding & events industry.

We offer vintage hire, event planning & styling, afternoon tea catering, VW campervan hire & have a fantastic team of waiting staff.

We are looking for a student who has a passion for event planning & fashion (with a particular interest in vintage fashion) who can make a substantial contribution to our newsletters, social media contact and blog posts.

The role will include researching and writing for social media and the newsletters ( approx. 3 hours a week), and assisting us with styling & setting up events( approx one every two weeks)

The position is unpaid but could lead to future paid opportunities. We are willing to pay travel expenses and if you are ever working with us’ waiting on’, we will pay the standard rate. We have a very busy few months coming up.

This opportunity would benefit an enthusiastic, self-motivated student or graduate who is eager to learn, has excellent English language skills and has an avid interest in fashion, event planning, blogging, PR & social media.

You will:
Develop creative thinking, research and writing skills.
Learn how to write and develop a blog.
Work to a brief.
Gain an understanding of the events industry
Have client contact & work alongside others.
Work on events from the initial client contact through to execution.
Reach our target audience through social media campaigns and consumer awareness such as Facebook and Twitter.
Be available to start with immediate effect.
