UK YOUNG ARTISTS is recruiting new Board members

UK Young Artists is an exciting arts organisation, based in the East Midlands, delivering high quality, engaging work across the UK and beyond. We work nationally and internationally to showcase young, creative practitioners between the ages of 18 – 30 whose work spans across all art forms; from visual arts to music, performance to literature. UK Young Artists pride themselves on providing networking opportunities and artistic development through intercultural dialogue and exhibitions showcasing outstanding art.

As UKYA plans for the future we are now looking to recruit passionate and enthusiastic people who will bring their knowledge and expertise to the Board of Directors.

We are interested in applications from people who have an interest in the arts with experience in the following areas:
* Legal
* Finance
* Marketing
* Human resources

Given the nature of our international work, knowledge of, or experience in working outside of the UK would be advantageous. Board meetings are held in Nottingham, Leicester, Loughborough and Derby.

The posts are voluntary and unpaid, although expenses will be paid if appropriate.

Previous Arts/Board experience is not essential; we particularly welcome applications from a diverse background. If you are interested in joining the Board of a dynamic company please submit a CV and a covering letter to ukya@ntu.ac.uk by Friday 5th August 2011 5.00pm.
