From internal strategy through to external messages, our multi-disciplinary team work for an array of diverse blue chip names including Volvo, FedEx and Travelodge to name but a few.

CWA are now offering a rare and exciting opportunity to work as part of our DesignTeam as a paid intern. Our newly established Designer Internship Programme is for a six month period during which time you will work on a diverse range of projects and design for print, web, exhibitions and live events.

Our offer

We will assign one of our Senior Designers to mentor each intern and provide support and advice throughout the internship period. You will gain experience working in a busy studio and will also spend time working with colleagues in the Account Teams in order to fully understand the dynamics of a creative design agency.

The Designer Internship Programme is for a fixed six month period. Whilst there may be an opportunity to progress to a permanent role with CWA, this cannot be guaranteed.


Hours of work: Mon-Fri 9am to 5.30pm

Place of work: Glenfield, Leicester

Salary: £6.25 per hour


We are looking for someone who not only has knowledge of InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, but more importantly can show real flare, creativity and a passion for strong concepts. Not only will you gain invaluable experience within a busy and friendly design studio but you will be given the opportunity to engage with creatively stimulating projects, and have the chance to make a real impact for our clients.

Person requirements

Essential skills:

A passion for graphic design, typography and layout. A good working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Keen to learn new skills. Self motivated with ability to work with people at all levels. Strong communication skills. An understanding of the printing process.



Desired skills:

Basic HTML and/or CSS skills. Commercial awareness and an interest in business. An adaptable attitude, technologically-minded with a keen interest in the web.
