Lloyds TSB Enterprise Awards
Lloyds TSB is running an Enterprise Awards scheme to identify the very best university student and graduate entrepreneurs across Britain. The Enterprise Awards are in their second year and were launched by Lloyds TSB on 6 November 2012. All entrants will be considered for two titles: best start-up and best enterprise. There will be 8 heats and winners at these will be awarded cash prizes plus mentoring, and the two winning businesses in each of the heats (due to take place in March 2013) will compete for national titles at the final in April 2013. There will be a prize of £10,000 for the overall winner of the best start-up and £50,000 for the best enterprise. Both winners will receive two years of mentoring by senior Lloyds TSB executives. The awards are open to anyone who has founded or co-founded their own business and who is currently studying at university or graduated in the past five years. They need to have been trading for at least a year and the business should be based in England, Scotland or Wales. The deadline for entries is 31 January, 2013.
