Peak District Artisans Young Artist of the Year is a new regional art competition open to anyone aged from 16-19 living in and around the Peak District. Peak District Artisans (PDA) is a highly successful association of professional fine artists, designer makers and contemporary artisans based in and around the Peak District. Members are selected for their outstanding creative works and include up and coming as well as internationally renowned individuals. PDA represents the finest in rural and urban creativity at its diverse best.
As working professional artists ourselves, we understand the challenges faced by young artists starting out in this field. This competition offers the winners a unique opportunity to exhibit with us and gain a valuable insight into the life of professional artists and makers.
Up and coming talented young artists are invited to submit work on any subject matter and in any discipline - both 2D and 3D. We are looking for work that demonstrates a unique insight and creative vision as well as skill with materials. We are offering the opportunity to win not only the prestigious title of PDA Young Artist of the Year and a £200 cash prize, but also the chance to take part in our annual exhibition, The Great Dome Art Fair.
