Enterprise, new businesses and the creative sector are key to the future of Derbyshire's economy.



More people are needed to create and sustain creative businesses and employment and you could be one of them. By attending this afternoon event, you'll find out the key issues in starting your creative business - what to do and what not to do - as well as how to succeed in winning funding. And you'll be introduced to the range of business support available to new start-up businesses.



Topics include:



1. Could it be you? What matters most when starting a creative business - and what matters less.
2. How to be successful in funding applications.
3. Business support and help available.



The speakers include creative business specialists David Ross and David Richards, who between them have worked with most of Derbyshire's successful creative businesses.



Photogrpaher Ewan Mathers will also talk about his experiences from career change, to degree, to being his own boss with in growing business in 2011.



Refreshments will be provided and there will be an opportunity for networking.
