This is an exciting new 2 year post for a Furniture Designer who will help the company develop its design capability and review existing products, materials and markets to develop a new strategic design policy, innovative new designs and mass customisation.
Ultra Furniture, based in the Pensnett Estate, Kingswinford has developed a reputation over 20 years of producing quality domestic furniture for leading UK retailers.
The successful candidate should have a good degree in Furniture Design or similar.
You should be able to demonstrate excellent design skills, IT, communication, presentation, and project management skills and have experience in 3D CAD and 2D image generation systems.
Self- motivation, enthusiasm, good personal presentation, punctuality and the ability to see tasks through to conclusion, whilst working effectively under time pressures and with a flexible working approach are also essential qualities.
Some knowledge of the furniture industry is desirable along with a demonstration of the ethos of working within a manufacturing business.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake travel necessary to develop and manage the partnership element of the project within the UK and abroad.
