A short free workshop at QUAD as part of our Employability Improvement Programme will include:

· Self-Promotion and public speaking training.

· Using networking and social media effectively.

· Speed networking event.

The workshop is developed to help you boost your refined skills and keep your interview techniques up to date so that you are always presenting yourself in the most positive manner.



The available session is on September 27th 2011, 12pm until 3pm at QUAD in Derby City Marketplace.



The workshop at QUAD will be delivered by professional actor for Lost Boys Productions: Paul Smith and Careers advisor at the University of Derby: Kieran Chester, covering the following skills:

· Impact and appearance; first impressions are crucial.

· Body language do’s and don’ts; your handshake, eye contact and enthusiasm.

· Interview etiquette and the art of conversation; knowing when to speak and when to stop!

· Social networking and how to use it to your advantage.

QUAD initially took in graduates from various backgrounds to meet for the extended programme, however as there is high demand, QUAD are pleased to announce an additional afternoon session for up to another 15 local, unemployed graduates aged 18+.
