JOB VACANCY Performing Arts Administrator Mar-May 2011



Sustained Theatre East Midlands (STEM), is currently seeking a flexible, dynamic and experienced Administrator to support its East Midlands-based team.



Sustained Theatre is a network of performing arts practitioners from African, Caribbean, Asian and minority ethnic communities taking

forward the recommendations of Baroness Lola Young’s “Whose Theatre..?” report. STEM is voluntary collective, one of eight regional hubs in the network, who support artists by way of linking practitioner to practitioner and/or performing space; providing specific development and performance opportunities and providing a political voice for performing arts practitioners at a regional level.



This post is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a small busy Steering Group, provide administrative support for the running of

STEM’s virtual office; to administer STEM’s activities; to assist with the organisation of meetings and other events, to contribute in general to STEM’s work. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, good ‘all rounder’ with excellent organisation skills, and the ability to use their own initiative. The successful candidate will be the first port of call for STEM and should be keen to take responsibility; be well presented with excellent communication and writing skills and based in the East Midlands region with the facility to work from their own base.



Fee: Based on a fee of up to £600 @£75/day
