Wide-Sky Design are specialists in themed digital interactive and audio-visual for museums, exhibitions and education. With over 15 years’ experience delivering landmark projects on a global scale, the company offer a broad range of creative and technical capabilities combined with proven project management experience. Based in Nottingham, in a picturesque period property whose history dates back to Saxon times, they have worked on projects for clients nationally, including the Great North Museum, Chester Zoo, the Galleries of Justice and the Manchester Art Gallery. With a variety of work undertaken, the company specialise in creating digital platforms to communicate and educate.


This opportunity is offered over a period of 12 weeks with the potential for the successful candidate to be offered a permanent role upon completion of the internship.

Responsibilities
The company is looking for a recent graduate to join their team as a Media Design and Production Assistant. You will be engaged on an exciting opportunity to work on a nationally important project, delivering large scale projection and multi-touch interactives. You will be based at the Wide Sky Designs office, using their own design equipment and software. In addition to this, you will also be undertaking media design and production using the following:



- Adobe Creative Suite (including Illustrator, Photoshop and Flash)



- Cinema 4D



- Adobe Premiere



- Adobe Audition



Using your own skills and experience, along with the experienced direction of the Wide Sky Design staff, you will be using the above software to develop final deliverable media. By undertaking this internship you will gain key employability skills from working in a business environment with skilled and experienced professionals. You will also have the opportunity to put the skills acquired during the course of your degree into practice, in a practical working environment.



Person requirements
Skills required
You will be a recent graduate, having completed a relevant degree course which included modules in:

- Digital Media Design



- Motion Graphics Design



- Graphic Design



- Fine Art



- Illustration





You will be able to work with the Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and Flash. It may also be advantageous to have some prior experience with using Cinema 4D, Adobe Premiere and Adobe Audition.



In order for your application to considered it is important that you fully complete the registration process including a strong personal statement along with details of your education, skills and your work experience. By completing a full registration this will allow us to consider you for other roles that might be of interest and allow us to be more proactive in helping you to find quality work experience and perhaps permanent employment.



You will receive a training allowance of £217 per week, free from Tax and National Insurance deductions.
