Michelle Bowen will lead this practical workshop which will consider and advise on how artists and craft makers can make the most of presenting and selling their work at craft fairs. The session will provide a planning framework and tools on how to make the most of show build up, delivery and follow up. Michelle will offer key pointers for success, top tips for selling as well as examples of effective marketing

This is an exciting new 2 year post for a Furniture Designer who will help the company develop its design capability and review existing products, materials and markets to develop a new strategic design policy, innovative new designs and mass customisation.

Ultra Furniture, based in the Pensnett Estate, Kingswinford has developed a reputation over 20 years of producing quality domestic furniture for leading UK retailers.

The successful candidate should have a good degree in Furniture Design or similar.

You should be able to demonstrate excellent design skills, IT, communication, presentation, and project management skills and have experience in 3D CAD and 2D image generation systems.

Self- motivation, enthusiasm, good personal presentation, punctuality and the ability to see tasks through to conclusion, whilst working effectively under time pressures and with a flexible working approach are also essential qualities.

Some knowledge of the furniture industry is desirable along with a demonstration of the ethos of working within a manufacturing business.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake travel necessary to develop and manage the partnership element of the project within the UK and abroad.

2 weeks PR marketing internship - London lifestyle blog

One of the blogs I regularly read is looking for a student to do a 2 week unpaid internship to work on their PR and Marketing in April 2013

You must be enthusiastic, have excellent writing/typing skills, be organized and able to prioritize,
- You must also be reliable, honest and a good team player as we are a small team and we like working with cool, nice people.
You won't make coffee at our place (well you can make your own if you want one, we have a great kitchen next to the office) but this internship is about real work, real projects and real experience.

Position based in Acton (W3 7QS) Monday to Friday: 10-5pm
Available from 2rd to 14th April (TBC)
